"La Vendimia" The Grape Harvest 2008 Casablanca Chile

The one of the things that you cannot miss if you are in Valparaíso this time of year, is the grape harvest in Casablanca also known to the locals as “ La Vendimia ”.

The harvest of the grapes for the wine industry is happening all over Chile from mid March to the end of April.

All the vineyards are open to tourism, which lets you view the the wine making process in action. Some vineyards have special harvest experience tours as well as normal standard tours, which still allows you to see the harvest while it is happening.
